Christiana "CJ" Louise Jarvis
1976 - 2016
Our beautiful bright shining star, soul-sister of many, and most importantly, her mother's daughter writes: "You ever climb so deep inside your thoughts that you feel a deeper connection to your soul? I've been feeling my way through my thoughts lately; I came to the realization that I don't need to overthink everything that doesn't make sense to me in the moment. It will *all* make sense when kismet allows for it." CJ, our love, our constant, and our confidant, whose magnetic energy, with her greatest laugh, imagination, poetic sense, love for nature and all she knew- "Has been embraced by the clouds and loved by the sky illuminated in shades of breathtaking." Christiana joined her beloved grandfather, Hicks, on Nov. 4th 2016, exactly 26 years later to the day. Numbers, stars, and the moon, were so important to our Chrissy that she came into this world on Dec. 27th 1976 two years later on the same day as her brother Greg. As a child, her love of skiing and her horse Danita, coupled with her wonder like curiosity, led her to a lifelong love of literature, Astrology, and nature. Her extended family, the McQueeney's, gave Chris the sisters she will always love. While attending College on early entry, she joined her American Express family where she grew and flourished and ultimately became a Senior Fraud Research Analyst in Global Security. Her 21 years at Amex gave her experiences and friendships here and through her travels around the world. She will be eternally loved by her mother Louise, her brothers Alan and Greg, father Kent and her many friends and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stark's Funeral Parlor 3651 South 900 East in Salt Lake. Please use complimentary valet parking on the North side of the building. Donations may be made to the Christiana Louise Jarvis Scholarship Fund for education in Criminal Justice thru Granite Credit Union

It's taken me a while to gather my thoughts. I think about you every day. True friendship is a rare thing and I am honored to have been part of your circle. You always showed me the most true and honest kindness, and I am a better person for knowing you. We had fun and spontaneous times, great conversations, and though miles separated us, we were always still connected. I miss you my friend. I will always miss you. Your counsel and wisdom is not something that can be replaced. I'm so sad you're away from us. I can't say enough about you, cut from a cloth like and like no other. Bright, shining star, forever in my heart.

I will never forget the great times with Chris, both in and out of work. I have two very cherished possessions from her - a necklace she brought back from South Africa and a dream interpretation book she gave me for my birthday one year. We spent hours on end analyzing our dreams with that book! She will be so very missed.

I feel so blessed to have known Christiana since she came I into my life 21 years ago. She was so young and silly and brought smiles to many faces. I was lucky to be able to work with Chris over those years and to also call her my friend. We had some good laughs together and shared some hard and trying times too. Friendship meant the world to Chris and she cherished each of her friendships with a deep love of the life she had. She was a star gazer that flashed beautiful colors across the sky. I will love you forever beautiful friend. My deepest sympathies to your family and friends. You will be missed by all who knew you.
