Claire Bramble Obituary
St. George, UT-Claire Georgia Swan Bramble, age 97, was born October 26, 1919 and passed away June 20, 2017 in St. George, UT. Georgia was the second of four children born to George Heber and Clara Edna Christensen Swan. Married Thomas William Champneys, later divorced. Married Russell Clayton Bramble, Major, USAF, joining him on many military assignments.
Began her career with the Auerbach Co. as a buyer traveling to markets in NYC and LA many times. Later employed with the US Govt, retiring from Hill Air Force Base in January 1989. She was an active member of the LDS Church with many dear friends and loved them all.
She is survived by sons: Thomas W (Marilyn), and Stephen S (Rebecca), sister Vera S Powell, brother George H Swan Jr, four grandchildren, Thomas W Bramble Jr (Emi), Kayla Rhyne (CJ), Wendy P Bramble, Stephen Scott Bramble (Erin) and two great grandchildren Adalyn and Canon Rhyne and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth Pack, and husband Russell Bramble.
Georgia was known for her zest for life, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family expresses sincere gratitude to close friend Janice Peacock, sister Vera S. Powell, Don Leonard and family, M'Liss Jacobs, Encompass Hospice, and Platinum Care Assisted Living staff.
Funeral services to be held June 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at the LDS chapel on Angel Arch Dr. in Sun River, St George with viewing at 10:00 am prior to the service.
