Darlene Farster Obituary

1929 ~ 2012
BOUNTIFUL, UTAH-Darlene Farster, 83, passed away December 13, 2012 of a stroke.
She was born on October 25, 1929 to Carlton D. and Lora Roberts Hansen in Richfield, Utah.
She moved with her family to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1940. She graduated from West High School in 1946. In 1947 she married Carol A. Dalton. Four sons were born to this marriage; Steven, Keith, Glen and Kent. They were divorced in 1970. She graduated from Utah Technical College in 1970 as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She worked at Lakeview Hospital from 1970 to 1980. In 1978 she married Lee J. Farster. She followed Lee in his Air Force career to Germany, Texas and back to Germany. They returned to Bountiful, Utah upon Lee's retirement in 1993.
Darlene enjoyed being home with family and friends. She and Lee traveled extensively in their RV for eleven years until Darlene's declining health forced them to spend more time at home.
She is survived by husband, Lee; sons Steven (Kathi), Keith, Glen (Jana); 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; brothers Merrill and Robert Hansen; son Kent; grandson Steven Dalton; great-granddaughter Lindsay Dalton and sister-in-law Annie Hansen.
Gravesides services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery, Saturday December 15, 2012 located at 2224 S. 200 W. Bountiful, Utah. Care entrusted to Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary.
