David Viertel Obituary

David K. Viertel 1944 ~ 2008 David Kent Viertel, 64, died Dec. 24, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born to Beatrice (Naef) and Harold John Viertel on October 4th 1944. Kent was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Harold Lee Viertel, and his close friend, Joseph G. Hill. Survivors include sister in-law, Pauline Viertel; nieces, Laura (Mark) Dekowski and Linda (Craig) Omdal; nephew Michael David (Carin) Viertel; grandnieces and grand nephews, and his beloved dogs Micky and Molly Kent was employed by the Utah State Tax Commission until his death. His many friends will miss his wit and humor. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah where he will be interred. Even though Kent was my cousin, I didn't get to know him very well. What I do know is that he was alway there for his mom and took very good care of her. I'm sure they are happy to be together again.
