Dean Richman Obituary
Dean G Richman
1939-2025
Bountiful, UT-We lost the rock of of our family, he will finally be able to join the love of his life and soulmate, his wife Peggy, who passed on January 4, 2023. Dean passed at his home on October 30, 2025.
Being a hardworking man, he passed that trait to all his children. He was like an M&M candy, hard and crusty on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside. Generous to a fault, he was constantly involved in charitable projects. With the Lions Club he donated his time and materials to expand the Golden Years Senior Citizen Center. With the PDCA he did the same to help renovate a crumbling Camp Rogers so it could once again be enjoyed by children. These are only a couple of his contributions to his community, he was involved with the Food Bank and more. He was a firm believer that volunteer work was the best way to build community.
For play, he loved golf and even made and customized his own clubs. He was a member of the "Hole in One" club, that was an exciting day for him! For our vacations we always went camping and fishing; he loved the mountains! He was very respectful of nature and when breaking camp we were all given a bag to pick up any trash or even micro trash left by previous campers. We always left it better than we found it.
Dean is survived by his children and spouses: Kim Richman (Teri), Julie Kocourek Richman (Scott), Kent Richman (Sue), and Leslie Hood (Greg). His grandchildren: Christy Crosby, Adam Hood, Chelse Crosby, Sarah Madsen, Aimee Neff, Kenzie Crosby, Jennie Easley, Jesse Eggett, Brianne Maurer, Cierra Hanchett, and Daniel Richman. His brothers: Jack Richman and Reed Richman. Dean and Peggy had 19 great grandchildren.
A special thanks goes to Shawn Andreasen, Elaine Andreasen, and Hospice for the comfort and care given to Dad.
Dean chose to donate his body to the University of Utah to help in educating students in the medical field. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends to gather and share memories of Dads life. A date and time will be announced at a later date.
