Dustin Nelson Obituary
1992 - 2024
West Jordan, Utah
-Dustin returned to his eternal home on June 24, 2024. He was born May 18, 1992, to Mike Nelson and Heather Idom.
Growing up, he was a star soccer player, enjoyed hunting trips with his family and going to Bear Lake. In 2010, he graduated from Copper Hills High School where he excelled in mechanics. Shortly after in 2011, he and Alexis Stewart welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Jordynn Brandy Nelson. Jordynn was his pride and joy. His greatest role in life was being a father to her. He loved spending time with his Jordy Bug, including going camping, fishing, playing Pokémon Go and Mario Cart, amongst other things.
Dustin loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting or swimming in a lake. He was a car and truck enthusiast, especially the Corvette. He worked for Hexcel for several years before using his artistic talent to become a tattoo artist.
Dustin is preceded in death by his grandfather, Wayne Nelson. He is survived by his daughter Jordynn Nelson; parents, Mike (April) Nelson, Heather Idom; siblings, Steven (Denette) Nelson, Austin (Megan) Nelson, Ashlee Nelson; three nieces and one nephew.
Dustin will always hold a special place in our hearts and as he would always say, I miss you the mostest-est.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

He was one of the most respectful kids I had the pleasure of knowing. His eyes would light up whenever you talked about hunting. He was so proud when he showed me the trophy buck he´d taken with his dad. Not forgotten, just missed.
