Edmund Barlow Obituary

1942 ~ 2012
Edmund Owen Barlow, our beloved Husband, Dad, Brother and Grandpa returned to our Father in Heaven on January 18, 2013. Surrounded by his family, his passing was a sweet relief from the cancer that invaded his body.
Ed was born on April 26, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert and Maurine Barlow. His greatest loves were the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his family. Barlow Family,
I was able to take care of Ed while he was being treated in the hospital. It is rare to meet such a calm, kind, soft-spoken and genuine person who always showed his gratitude while being so ill. I feel priviledged to get to know Ed and enjoy his company during his visits at Infusion Services. My heart goes out to all of his loved ones and know that you are in my prayers.
"When you come to the edge of all you know, you must believe in one of two things. You will either be given earth to stand upon or you will be given wings." Godspeed Ed...now you have your wings.

I feel I've known Ed all my life. I remember when he first married Penny. I watched him raise a beautiful and loving family. I was fortunate to have my son 'Edmond' marry Ed's daughter Maria and together we share a beautiful granddaughter. Thanks Ed for raising such a wonderful family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Penny, Ann and Liz during this time of sorrow.

My siblings and I lived next to the Barlow family when we were children. The love Mr. Barlow had for his family was apparent by the children's happy faces. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Penny , Ann, Natalie, Maria, Amy and Mary. I am so sorry for your loss, I didn,t know Ed really well, but I have met a lot of his family and I know the thing he thought about most and the thing that preyed on his mind was the success of his children and the choices they make in life. You all showed him the love and respect he deserved and I know you will meet him again. It will be hard to be without for a while, but he is free of the pain wracked body. God speed my thoughts and prayers are with you.

May the comfort of knowing that Ed is in a better place with loved ones help ease your pain, and happy memories carry you through your most difficult moments.
