Price, Utah— Emilie Campbell
CLINTON- Emilie Campbell died peacefully in her sleep on August 20, 2021. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday with her family.
Emilie was born on August 9, 1931 in Bergreichenstein, Czech Republic, to Leo and Emilie Thurnwald. She married Leon "Rusty" Campbell, who was stationed in Germany, on September 14, 1962. They came to the United States together in December 1963.
Emilie was a homemaker and was known for her kind heart, warm hugs, and honest advice and input. She had an open heart and open home, and always made everyone feel welcome and important. If you came at dinnertime, there was always a seat at the table.
Her children are honored that she has been their mother. She always said her children were the joy of her life and she was so proud of them, but it was only because of the example she set for them.
Emilie adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a way of making each feel they were the most special and dear to her, and each had a unique place in her heart.
She is survived by her children, Christina Thurnwald, Dieter Thurnwald, Michelle (Steve) Scovill, Mandy (Kymberly) Campbell, Denise Campbell, Jenene (Dustin) Philippi; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Leon "Rusty" Campbell; parents, Leo and Emilie Thurnwald; son, Shane Campbell; daughter-in-law, Kristy Thurnwald; son-in-law, Philip Bell; sisters, Maria Meinzenbach, Hilde Wurm, Annie Palmieri; and brother Friedl Thurnwald.
Funeral service, Saturday, August 28, 2021, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 E Main Street) Price, UT. Friends and family are welcome one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
