Fonda Jensen Hughes

Fonda Jensen Hughes "Together Again"  Loving mother and grandma, Fonda J. Hughes, 86, was reunited with her husband and loved ones waiting for her on July l8, 2003.  She was born in Spring City, UT. On Aug. 27, 1916 to Emeline Allred and James Jensen. She was the youngest of eight children. Married Ellison (Bill) Hughes, June 27, 1936, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, he preceded her in death in l992. Devoted member of the LDS Church, belonging to the Emerson Ward for many years before moving to CA. Held many church positions including Captain of her DUP Camp. She loved her Pioneer History. She will be greatly missed by her family. Dearly loved being with her family. Survived by daughter Cherril (Dale) Olson, grandchildren Triston (George) Faulkner, Julie Searle, Michael Olson, great-grandchildren, Shane, Tiffany, Dustin, and Mackenzie. great-great grandchildren Jordan and Trayson, Many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, five brothers and two sisters. Special thanks to our daughter Triston and her husband for all the tender loving care they gave her. Services will be held 12 Noon, Sat., July 26 at the Emerson Ward, 1621 S. 1100 E.  A viewing will be held Fri. 6-8 p.m. at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S., also at the church one hour prior. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
