Frances C. Woolley

Frances C. Woolley 1920 ~ 2005 Frances Alice Curtis Woolley died peacefully after a long and courageous struggle with Alzheimer and Parkinson's diseases on October 23, 2005 at the Wesleyan Nursing Home in Georgetown, Texas. Frances was born in South Jordan, Utah to Ross and Alice Curtis on May 26, 1920. She met and married her High School sweetheart, John C. Woolley, while attending South High School in Salt Lake City. The couple was married on May 16, 1938, just prior to graduation. Frances was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. All who knew her will sorely miss her. Her family has fond memories of the many holidays celebrated together, especially the annual Christmas Eve gathering she always hosted. She loved her garden and took great joy in the beauty of her roses and flowers which she planted and tended each year. She is survived by her sister Beatrice Curtis Macdonald, Salt Lake City; her daughters, Kaye W. Parrish, Maui Hawaii; Michelle Shaughnessey, Heber City; her sons, Jeffery R. Woolley, Salt Lake City; C. Brent Woolley and his wife Patricia, Georgetown, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Toni Woolley, Maui, Hawaii; son-in-law, Walter Shaughnessey, Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren and six great-grand-children. Frances was preceded in death by her husband John; her eldest son, Lynn Jack Woolley; her brother, Darwin Curtis; and her sisters, Ruth Curtis Goff, Shirla Curtis, and Sharon Curtis Steadman. A memorial service will be held at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State St., Midvale, UT on Saturday, November 12th, at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Sandy City Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
