1934-2023
On Wednesday September 28, 2023, George G. Marcusen--loving husband, father, grandfather, and great great-grandfather passed away at the age of 88.
George was born on November 7, 1934 in Salt Lake City Utah, to George and Josephine Marcusen. He married Bonnie Jean Perry on June 21st, 1957 and they were still holding hands when he passed. True love at its best!
He was the father to 3 children, grandfather to 10, great-grandfather to 18 and great-great-grandfather to 5+.
George was in the Army for 2 years.
George was dedicated to honesty, trust, and hard work! He worked for the Union Pacific Motor Freight for 35 years.
He was a very kind man to many. He enjoyed visiting with his family and talking to people in the neighborhood.
For many years he loved gardening he started learning from scratch, but he became a master. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, leather and woodworking and many other things. He thrived in his leather works. He made beautiful things for his family.
He is survived by his lovie Bonnie, and his daughter Sandra (Don). George is preceded in death by his son Vincent and daughter Michelle.
A short viewing for family and friends will be held Saturday October 14, 2023, @ 12:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84123, followed by a graveside service @ 1:00 PM.

Dear Aunt Bonnie, Sandra and family so sorry for your(our) loss.
Uncle Georgie was an Original, one of a kind.
most of my memories were when I was young, I remember going to the stock car races at the fair grounds with Dad and Uncle Georgie, his workshop and garden were legendary, I also remember the root cellar in the middle of the garden and of course Vince, Michelle and Sandra for cousins.
another thing that remined me of Uncle Georgie was the Coke a Cola truck around Christmas...we always thought Uncle Georgie looked like Santa or was Santa.
