Ginnie,
I never took the opportunity to tell you how much I appreciated everything you taught me. You have been my mentor for many years and now that I own my own salon, if a problem arises, I always think "How would Ginnie have handled this" The best lesson I learned from you is that everything happens for a reason. I have said that to many people throughout the years and I think about you every time I say it. I was so glad to have you call me 2 weeks ago especially now that you are gone. I am grateful for the oppertunity to talk to you one last time. I wish I had had time to talk longer. Some of my fondest memories are from the time I worked for you. Thank you for all you have done.

Touching so many lives, with love and with grace,
Soft blue eyes, flatter a porcelain face.
Crowning colors of hair that show off the soul.
Peace, love and happiness her only goal.
Calculation and detail plaguing her mind.
Determined to leave not a problem behind.
Hungry for knowledge, buried in facts.
Until the question itself she reenacts.
She could fight a good fight, she liked to win.
If she only knew how much strength was within.
She fought many battles until the war had been lost,
Only those gathered here can even imagine the cost.
But the strength is still here she left it behind.Buried deep in your heart and in the back of your mind.
Always prepared she had planted it there,
None of us knowing or even aware.

I am going to truly miss Ginny. She was a wonderful person, who made a lot of sense in this troubled world we live in. I am going to miss the long discussions we had. I never had the pleasure of meeting her face to face, but we talked quite frequently for years. I found she was truly a generous and giving person. She was a very wise woman and I am honored to call her my friend.

Ginnie, Rod and I love you and miss you so much. There is so much that we want to tell you and share with you. We are happy that you are free from this earth and painfully sad that you are not here to share your one-of-a-kind laughter, great memories and your effervescent personality. You treated Rod and me like your sons and we will always love you for treating us so. Thank you for blessing my life with Tiffany and Cole. I love Tiffany very, very much and I love Cole as my brother. Thank you for opening your door to me when I needed shelter, for feeding me when I needed a meal, and for always loving me for who I am. I cannot thank you for all that you have done for me, for allowing Rod to see the gifts he possesses and for allowing him to not be afraid of who he is; thank you for helping my family and thank you for opening the door to my family’s spirituality. You loved when lost souls needed love, you cared when those souls needed a helping hand and most of all, you epitomized God’s true work, by helping those who needed God’s helping hand. My friend, I will always carry your spirit with me no matter where life takes me and will always keep your spirit alive in everything I do. I can never forget you and I never will. Rod is deeply saddened by your going home and loves you very, very much. You were and are the only person he trusted enough to confide in, and now that you are back home, he will be stronger (as you have taught him once before) and will carry on and finish what you two started ;) Thank you for coming to this earth, for blessing us with your spirit and being such a great soul. Your work is done now Ginnie and now it is time to relax and be free. We miss you very, very much and we will see you once again my friend. We love you and know your light shines brightly for all to see! As you always said, “Love, Light, Peace and Happiness.” We know that you have all of these and more back home. We will spread these gifts in your memory Ginnie! We love you! Your friends in the light, Charlie and Rod :)
