Sweet Julie, you don´t know me, but I was married to your Sweet Mother´s cousin, Lavar Barney. We were married in 1963, and your wonderful Dad was, in fact Barney´s
Best Man. Hal was always so caring and kind to me, and I will always remember our fun times when your Mom would pack an amazing picnic and we would head for the lake and spend an amazing afternoon water skiing, as well as the wonderful Thanksgiving Dinners we had in the basement of their lovely home. The last time I saw your Dad was at the funeral for your Mom´s Aunt Verla, and he was still kind and caring.
I just watched his service and it was beautiful as are you! I don´t know if your Mother is still alive, but, if so, please give her a hug for me and keep one for yourself. I´m sure whether she is still with us or has passed on, she is very proud of you, as I know your Daddy is!

The first time I met my husband's Grandpa Hal, he was the kindest. Him and Grandma Goldie treated me like family right away and they didn't even know me. This summer when my husband was in the hospital for his burn injury...Grandpa Hal was worried about his grandson while he was in a sedated state, Grandpa Hal thanked me "for taking excellent care of his grandson and he told me to tell his grandson(Gordon Grainger Jr.) " to tell him that he is a Peacock and that he loves him." That was the last time I saw him. Grandpa Hal is the most kindest, humorous, loving and careing person, he will be deeply missed and remembered always.
We love you Grandpa Hal,
The Grainger Family ( Gordon, Leanne, Tristan, Leo, Graysyn)

My Grandfather was an awesome man. He taught me how to fish as a young child and he loved the great outdoors as much as I do. The times that I did spend with him as a teenager we wold go into his wood shop and just get saw dust flying all over the place and that was what I called fun with the man I loved and honored so much. I looked up to him and held him close to my heart, so close and to always remember him for years to come I named my very first born son Leo Ray Grainger to have the same middle name as his Great Grandfather as a token of love, honor and respect that I have for this man, and also for being the father of my very loving and awesome mother Linda F. Peacock. Both of them are my inspiration in life, they both have taught me to stand on my own two feet and look after those that you love with unconditional love.

Our condolences to the Peacock family, it is always sad to lose a family member no matter how sick they have been. The times we were around Hal he was always interesting to talk too. We enjoyed many of the same thing. Julie we are the daughter we never had and love you as one. God bless you. Zell Rae and Les Seely
