A few days later he married Maxine Hale of Salt Lake City, Utah in the Salt Lake Temple and moved east to work for General Electric. Condolences to all the children of Harold and Maxine West. I loved both of these wonderful people. They were both my most favorite uncle and aunt. They both were full of love and lots of caring. My family would have loved to have found out a month ago that Uncle Harold had passed away. By a fluke we found out. I hope the funeral went well and the family is all doing well.
I know that it is now time for Aunt Maxine to be layed to rest and I hope we find out soon when her funeral will be.
Know of my love for you all and your families. I miss seeing everyone.
Love from one of Uncle Vern's daughters,
Jennie

Harold and Maxine were the ward greeters when Maurine and I moved in to the 7th Ward some 34 years ago. They were among the first people we met. I loved Harold's sense of humor and he loved to tell lawyer jokes at my expense but always in good fun. I was privileged to be his and Maxine's home teacher for several years as well and grew to appreciate their kindness and goodness. Harold will remain an example to me of a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He set a standard that will forever be my goal.
