Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, and friend, Jack Mark, passed away Nov 26, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jack was born November 15, 1954 in Murray, UT to Albert and Helen Mark. He married his sweetheart Deborah, on March 9, 1977 in Elko, NV; they have 2 children, Uriah and Andriana. He served his county for years in the Special Forces as a Green Beret. After his military service he spent his career in the construction industy.
He loved his family and would do anything for them. He was the worlds greatest husband, dad, grandpa and friend. Jack loved the outdoors and spent much time hunting and fishing with his family and his best friend, Rick. Growing up they ran all over the Salt Lake Valley enjoying hunting, fishing, chicken-fighting, and trying to stay out of trouble. He lived life with passion and always giving 100% to everything he did. He was a great neighbor who always found time to help those around him. As a true "Jack"-of-all-trades, he could fix anything and was always happy to help where needed. He was also a perfectionist and took great care of everything he owned. He took pride in keeping everything he owned in immaculate condition.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Deborah, whom he adored; his 2 children, Uriah (Shari), Andriana (Terry); 7 grandchildren (Johanna, Lucas, Jordan, Kayla, Niko, Gauge, Zachary); step-mother, Lynda Sparling (Don); brothers, Bert (Debbie), Brent (Marsha) Lamont and Rob; sisters, Margo, Bernita, Lynette; best friends, Rick and Denis; many family and friends; and of course his beloved companions Buckshot and Sassy.
Jack's life will be memorialized on Pearl Harbor Day, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Hazelhurst Ward (3045 W. Bernina Dr., Taylorsville, UT) at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jack F. Mark Memorial Fund by calling America First Credit Union.

Hay Jack It´s been some time sense we talked Of course you know l got that deer last year just couldn´t make it happen with the elk but there´s always next year l always make it a Priority to make it up to your place some times l´m with someone or by myself l´ll pull out a cigar light it up and just sit there looking at that rigid where you was stand the last time we hunted together can´t wait to get back up there this year but do me a favor this year try and keep those dam trees out of the trail haha take care buddy love ya

Grandpa I've been missing you a lot not a day goes by that I don't miss you. When I go fishing, hunting, camping I always think of you. Everytime we have a fire we spread your ashes and pour some drinks over you and listen to "Stairway to Heaven". We usually get super emotinal but know that you are always watching over us. When ever I see my dad I always think about you because he reminds me of you. But as you said we aren't gonna make it out alive. Recently my Grandma Pete found Evans interview about what is was like in the army and I started to cry. Anyways I've been thinking of you I love you so much!!!

Well Sweetheart it is now 2017. We had a wonderful Christmas. It sure isn't the same without you. You are always in our thoughts, and we still share the same wonderful stories and memories of you and the wonderful times we shared. Yes! We do laugh as we shed a tear. I really hope the heavens understand just how great of a man you were, and how much you meant to not just your family but you made such a great impact on so many people's lives! We all feel that empty void with your great wit and sense of humor and such an incredible loving, giving man! I know you are watching over us sweetheart! And give us signs that you are still with us. In the short time you had left on this earth, you tried to teach me little things to make my life easier how to run this and do this and that. The one thing you didn't teach me is how to live without you! It's not been easy! But honey, I still feed off of your strength and courage to pull up those big girl panties and carry on. Jack, as I sit and listen to a familiar song, “Cruisin” I am reminded of what a great man you were. You were such a fantastic friend whom was always there whenever I decided to pop-in. You would not hesitate to make time and listen (even though you were preoccupied). It was always fun to listen to your wondrous experiences and wisdom.
