My dearest friend ....
Words cannot express my heartache with your passing. You made me smile, you taught me how to work hard, and you amazed me with your abilities even though you were supposedly disabled. I loved your honesty , but laughed to myself when you sometimes swayed it a bit in your favor. You new how to charm us.... Sometimes for a case of Pepsi or a set of new headphones. , other times a sincere and heartfelt thank you for a Sunday dinner or a movie or a shopping trip to Walmart. I have no sense of direction .... Thank you for your patience explaining all the bus routes, and quietly and lovingly informing me on some of our "outings"..... " Janny.... You're headed in the wrong direction". I will miss your serenades in the bug with the music blasting and the top open! I will miss our conversations over a number 5, with no beans, double the rice and a fruit punch at Su Casa. I loved you picking out your left overs while we ate dinner and then you placing them all in tupper ware yourself. You always made sure you returned the tupper ware..... I didn't care they never came back with lids.
Yes, I miss you dear friend. I will always miss you. The reason is simply because I love you. I loved you for the beautiful human being you are. I stopped seeing your Down syndrome soon after our friendship began. We have motto in our home that I know to be so true.... "Normal is just a setting on the dryer".
Remember our "pack". I will hold you to it when my time comes....till then, sing loud for me.

Jerry my friend I will miss you and all our fun adventures. I was sad to see you go, but knowing that you are happy again and free from any sufferings, comforts me.
