Julia LaVon Youngberg Heiner our beautiful, sweet and devoted mother passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Julie was born Nov.6, 1931 in Clinton Utah to Edwin A. and Sigrid Sund Youngberg. She married the love of her life Claude L. Heiner and they raised four children together (Denise, Sue, Sandra, and Mark). Julie's life was always centered on caring for her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren passionately and she was affectionately called "Honey" by them all. She and Claude loved boating at Lake Powell and trips to Hawaii. She was a life long member of the LDS church. In her later years she has endured many health issues with resolve and dignity. She was an example of love, and charity throughout her life.
She is survived by her three daughters Denise Metcalf (Craig), Sue Anne, Sandra Ott (George) and son Mark , grandchildren, Chris (Dawnell), Elizabeth (Ben), Brandon, Lindsay (Jared), Curt (Julie) and Jason., and 10 great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Dr Raymond Youngberg of Salem, OR and is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
Preceded in death by husband Claude, brothers, Albert, Arnold and Burt Youngberg, sisters Neoma Tittle (Cecil) and Ruth Breinholt (Gordon).
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Alta Ridge Assisted Living, which lovingly cared for our mother the last years of her life. We would also like to thank Millcreek Hospice for their kind services the last days of her life.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26 at 12:00 noon at the LDS Chapel, 955 West 4800 South, Taylorsville, Utah, with a viewing from 10:00-11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Please share online condolences at www.jenkins-soffe.com
