Kenneth Biesinger Obituary

Kenneth Eugene Biesinger 1930 ~ 2007 On March 19, 2007 our devoted brother and uncle, Kenneth Eugene (Sonny) Biesinger, was called home after a short illness by his Heavenly Father to join his parents beyond the veil. Kenneth was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 14, 1930 to Thomas Kenneth and Edna Naomi Steward Biesinger - who preceded him in death. Our brother, Sonny, was known for his love and compassion. He loved everyone. He was a good friend to anyone who needed him. He cared for his family. He was our older brother and he never sought after material things - but he kept well his stewardship over each of us - even to his last day on earth. He was well educated and had earned his doctor's degree - after which he lived in Duluth, Minn. where he lived and worked for the government until his retirement. It was then he returned to Salt Lake to live by his parents and brothers and sister. He served honorably for four years in the Navy during the Korean War. He loved music and especially loved playing the piano and singing. He left behind a dog - his name is "Chewy". Sonny loved his dog with all his heart and his dog is feeling his absence. He exercised righteous dominion over all of God's creations. He traveled and worked in many areas of the world. Everywhere he went the earth was his home. He loved everything to do with nature. Everywhere he lived flowers were planted to make his world beautiful, not only for himself but for all who visited. He is survived by three brothers and one sister - Joseph (Brenda) Biesinger, Thomas (Ardel) Biesinger, J. Robin (Bonnie) Biesinger, Norma (Gerald) Gygi - along with numerous nieces and nephews. We love our brother so much. We are so thankful for the life he lived, the love he gave and for the lessons he taught. We will miss him - we look forward to seeing him again. The funeral will be held on Thurs., March 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral at 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Interment Holladay Memorial Park.

Sonny was an awesome gardener. I loved the canned beets and pickles. He was kind to animals and loved the outdoors. He will be missed.

I have just heard of Ken's passing through another friend. Ken was a co-worker at the Duluth Laboratory where we spent many hours discussing our science and doing plans for the next project. He was quite a guy leaving many memories. Please be assured his memory continues here.

I always thought Sonny's name should be spelled "Sunny" because that is exactly what he was. He was a very sweet person full of sunshine. He was kind, giving, unselfish, and genuinely nice.

I appreciated his teaching me the proper ways to plant beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables and fruits. He was so talented. He was the master gardener and was extremely generous with his gift. We will miss him very much.

Serving a mission we get to teach about the Plan of Salvation. How privileged we are to know how merciful our Father is to us, allowing us to have family relationships endure beyond the grave. And because of Jesus Christ all shall rise in the resurrection.

I was sorry to hear of Sonny's passing. He was a kind, loyal member of the Biesinger family, always supportive of family members and functions. May all of you who mourn feel comfort in knowing he's in a better place with the parents he loved and supported.
