Kris Crayk Obituary

1959 ~ 2016
Kris Elden Crayk, Fashion Icon, Beach Bum, Sports Car Enthusiast, Comedian, Avid Reader, Friend to All, Life of the Party and just all around good guy, passed peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the young age of 57.
He was born February 24, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from Brighton High School in 1977. He worked with his Grandfather, Father and three brothers at the family owned business, Quality Linen & Towel Supply. He was married to Tammy K Gleave on May, 4 1985 and together they had two children Nikki Crayk (30) and Logan Crayk (26).
He had a life-long love affair with butter, muffins, cookies, ice cream, frosting, Fritos, all things cinnamon and of course never went anywhere without his 64 ounce Big Red Mug full of Coke.
He had always dreamed of living directly on the beach where he could look out his window and see the ocean, almost 3 years ago he made that dream come true. He was currently living in St Petersburg, Florida on the Intracoastal Waterway relaxing while watching the dolphins play right off his balcony and watching the sunset every evening. It was his paradise and he couldn't have been happier.
He is survived by his children, brothers Lee (Connie) Crayk, Lynn (Diana) Crayk, Keith (Diane) Crayk, many nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. And of course his constant companion and best friend Moose.
He is reunited with his sweet parents, Donald Edward Crayk and Marlene Joy Crayk (Shaw). And loving grandparents, Elden C. Shaw and Emma Jae Shaw. It is heartbreaking for those of us left behind, but we know they were waiting with great anticipation and open arms to bring their baby home.
Before he moved, Kris loved spending his free time volunteering at Primary Children's Hospital. So in lieu of flowers, his family asks that you please make a donation of any size to the hospital in his name. https://give.intermountainfoundation.org/primary-childrens-hospital
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Wednesday, July 6th, 2016. Our program will begin at 6:00 p.m. at The Cottonwood Country Club, 1780 E Lakewood Drive, Holladay, Utah 84117.

Kris-- I will always remember you because of your kindness and sense of humor when we were growing up. I will never forget when you stood up for me when someone else was being cruel when we were in Junior High.. You gave me courage to start standing up for myself.

My heart goes out to your family, especially your children.

Tammy, Nikki, and Logan, Kris was always friendly and nice to us (as were all of you) when we were neighbors on Canyon Creek. He was larger than life, fun and funny. Our hearts and prayers are with you! The Robinson Family.

So sorry for your loss. I grew up in the same ward -neighborhood with Chris. His mother & mine were in a singing trio. Loved his smile. He was always very kind. Enjoyed taking classes with him in school. I enjoyed his enthusiasm. I'm sure he'll be missed.

Tammy, Nikki and Logan, my week has been filled with sorrow and loving thoughts of Kris and you all. I have thought about all the good times we shared as a family and I always remember Kris being so cheerful and the life of the party! I was grateful to hear from Kris on FB a couple of times while living in Florida, he seemed so happy living there like he always dreamed. My heart hurts for you and I want you to know I love you all so much. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for your family.
Love always,

Tammy, Nikki and Logan, I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't have the privilege to know Kris but the outpouring from friends and family that I've read on facebook shows that he was a wonderful man with many, many qualities. May God be with you through this difficult time. May God give you comfort and carry you with peace in your hearts. The flood of wonderful memories that you had with him will be a comfort.

My heart is broken for you Tammy, Nikki and Logan! For a period of time, your dad was like a dad to me. He was such a wonderful man! It didn't matter how long it had been since I had seen him, he always had a big hug and a kiss for me and would tell me that he loved me. He was such a special soul. I'm glad I didn't listen to him when he said that I wouldn't like Pattrick. 11 years married this week! Ha ha! Love you all! Ash
