Linda Lee Peery Spencer 10/7/2003 Linda Lee Peery Spencer died of complications from cancer on October 7, 2003 at home in Payson, UT., surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was raised and educated in Payson, UT. Linda married Glen Ray Spencer on May 10, 1957, they were later divorced. She is survived by three sons, Gary and Laura, Blaine and Sheila, and Blair and Tresa, 10 grandchildren, Trina, Andrew, Nicole, Stacey, Robbie, Dylan, Taylor, Bradley, Bryan and Hilary. Also, her sister, Mary Lou Tanner, and nieces and nephews Kristian, Charlene, Lara and Brent and her mother, Sarah Krebs Peery Hill. She was preceded in death by her father, Bale Peery, August 10, 1967. Linda was employed by Payson City for eight years as administrative assistant to Chief of Police. During that time she was also the first female to be sworn as an Emergency Medical Technician and Instructor with the Payson Ambulance Association. She became an EMT and CIM (Crash Injury Management) instructor for the state of Utah, teaching all over the state. She taught the first CIM courses for Utah Highway Patrol Officers at Camp Williams. Linda also taught the CIM course at the National Indian Police Academy in Brigham City, Utah. She worked for the Utah County Sheriffs Dispatch for six years, two of those years as a supervisor. Linda also worked for Utah Highway Patrol in Cedar City and Utah State Port of Entry in St. George. Linda was an employee of Mt. View Hospital in Payson, UT at the time of her death. Her family was the center of her life. She loved them all so much nothing pleased her more than spending time with them, especially the grandchildren. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday Oct. 11, 2003 at Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Payson City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors, all employees, staff and friends at Mountain View Hospital, Payson Ambulance Association and Community Nursing Service who attended to Linda's needs and wishes.
