He gave many hours of leadership in the community serving on Uniting Neighbors and Emergency Preparedness councils. He was creative and sensitive and loved to learn. He studied Christ's life, the scriptures and prophets, and great writers, making detailed notes. He loved beautiful music, paintings, flowers, writings, performances. I was unable to attend the funeral and am grateful to my sister, Sidnee, for bringing me a program, and to my sister, Hannah, for telling me about some of the special experiences that were offered there. I wish I could have been in two places at the same time. Heart felt condolences to his family. He truly was a funny, kind, deeply spiritual person. Kind regards, Jeanie (Inagene) Day Shipley

Dear Christine, Michelle, Cheryl and family,
We just want to express our condolences to you. Your father (and husband) was a great example to all, and a fine man in his ward, stake, neighborhood, and to all who knew him. We got to know him through his work in family history. Many are waiting to embrace and thank him on the other side of the veil as his life continues there.
Sincerely and with love,
Charles and Mary Lou Burgoyne

Thank you for your wonderful example. I know that for as much as we didn't want you to leave us here on Earth, the Lord must have really needed your help on the other side. You will never be forgotten. I love and miss you grandpa.
