Marlene Julian Obituary
1936 ~ 2011
Marlene Tew Julian, age 75, passed away January 2, 2012 in Salt Lake City. Born May 11, 1936 in Payson, Utah to Charles Eldon and Naoma Hill Tew. She married Glen B. Julian January 4, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Glen passed away February 20, 1990.
Marlene held many positions in the LDS Church and owned and operated several businesses. She retired from service at the State of Utah Substance Abuse Div. She was also a gifted home maker, cook, seamstress, and expert at crafts and handiwork.
She is survived by 4 daughters and 2 sons: Nancy (Michael) Coones, Orem, UT; Rochelle (Ralph) Elliott, Mesa, AZ; Janiel (Curtis) Sorenson, Port Hueneme, CA; Jeana (Michael) DeVroom, North Ogden, UT; Douglas (Tracy), Salem, UT; Michael, Orem, UT; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Darrell, Russell, Norma and Deanna.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Olympus 2nd Ward, 3070 East Nila Way (4140 South), Salt Lake City. Friends may call from 9:50-10:50 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial in American Fork Cemetery at 3 p.m. under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary.
