Of many wonderful and outstanding teachers, I have always treasured Mrs. Hummel as the very best. She made such an impact in my life. Besides teaching me English, literature, and, yes, charm, she taught me about living a good life and being the best I could be. She always believed in me and gave me numerous opportunities to grow and learn. She never had a clock in her classroom, because she didn't want to teach us to watch the clock! She had more valuable lessons for us. Mrs. Hummel was a wonderful teacher and friend. My condolences to all of her posterity. The world will be a little less without her in it.
