Goodbye my best friend.
Seattle, WA-April 8, 2024, Michelle Valyne Mattulat Edgar finished her tour of duty on this spinning ball of blue we call our home. Blessing our world October 21, 1970, she was a miracle birth for Virginia and Herbert Mattulat in Hollywood, CA. Michelle grew to adulthood in SLC and graduated from Utah State, both things she took great pride in. She was a Buddha in a way, teaching without lecturing, positing ideas and observations that one year later, one would say "Oh! That is what she was talking about." Life did not happen to Michelle, she happened to life. She loved art, cinema, music, any expression of the human psyche. Her discourse on such matters was deep and introspective, being wise beyond her years. Humanity was a puzzle that needed solving, always asking the right questions and often being disappointed with the answers. She found humor in everything and exposed that in her own form of art. On April 8, when our star was eclipsed by our moon, my star was eclipsed by her loss. She was my best friend and soulmate for twenty-two years. I love her so much and miss her so much. - Jim Edgar
