N. Binks Obituary

N. Blair Binks 1924 ~ 2006 Blair passed away peacefully at home October 28, 2006 of Asbestos on his lungs. He was born in Mapleton, Utah on October 9, 1924 to Norris Thomas Binks and Amanda Erickson Binks. Blair graduated from Springville High and Brigham Young University in accounting. He volunteered for the Navy in 1943 and served on a minesweeper in the Pacific during World War II. On January 1, 1954 he married his sweetheart Connie Parkinson. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married 53 wonderful years and were blessed with four children. Blair was an active member of the LDS Church all his life. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after over 30 years of dedicated service. He was an avid golfer and twice made a hole-in-one. Blair was known for his sense of humor and gentle ways. Special thanks to Vista Care Hospice for their tender care. Survived by his dear wife, Connie; his brother, Glade (Collette); four children, John (Chris), Barbara, David and Becky (Mike); and seven grandchildren whom he adored, Brian, Mike (Camilla), Matt, Jen (Marc) Lindley, Josh, Nick and Parker. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bountiful 11th Ward Chapel, 115 Wicker Lane. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, and again Thursday from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. We are so sorry for your loss.
The funeral was wonderful. You have such a sweet family. It was great seeing them and getting to know them a little better.
We have many fun memories of Blair and your family.
We love all of you and hope things are well with you and your family.
