Nathan Poole Obituary

Nathan Hale Poole

1979-2021

Salt Lake City, UT—Our dearest Nathan passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Saturday, November 6th, 2021. He was born on March 11th, 1979 to Kristi Kimball Versteeg in Salt Lake City. Her green-eyed son was full-throttled from the very beginning, always getting into mischief with his older sister Brittany. He started to channel his energy when his step-father Noel Versteeg began coaching him in soccer. Nathan was an incredible athlete and excelled on the football field and baseball diamond. While both the smallest and the fastest on the field, Nate's fearlessness set him apart.

As a young man Nathan moved to Memphis where he honed his passion for freestyle rapping. He developed a following both in Memphis and Salt Lake City and began performing under the name $incere801 at Saints and Sinners and 5 Monkeys.

Upon his return to Utah, Nate met Ben Wood who would become a mentor to him in his career as an arborist. He loved his job and coworkers at Atlas Tree Service.

Family was everything to Nathan – "Family First, Ride or Die!" Nate had so many great friends and he would have done anything for them. He found his footing in life when he married his best friend and true love Elisha Jones Poole. They did everything together with their beautiful little princess Blakely.

Nathan was preceded in death by his grandparents Adrian & Gwendoline Versteeg. He is survived by his wife Elisha Jones Poole, children Kian Payne, Maleah Williams, Killian Williams & Blakely Poole, parents Kristi & Noel Versteeg, grandparents Gordon Kimball & Linda Butler, siblings Brittany Poole, Adrienne Versteeg and Christian Versteeg, and countless aunts, uncles and cousins that Nate loved dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Nate's honor from 5-8pm on Saturday, November 20th at Village 2 Clubhouse, 4155 S 2700 W in Taylorsville. In lieu of flowers we please ask that you consider donating to the GoFundme linked below to provide support to his young family.

Elisha. I´m so sorry for your loss. Tanji and I send our love. You and Miss Blakey take care. I didn´t read the obituary today. I was Googling your name for a phone #. I wanted to take you and Tanji to lunch during the holidays. I was shocked to see Nate´s legacy pop up. Take care my friend.
