I was so saddened to read in the Trib that Phil just passed away. I admired him so much for his courage during his illness! He was a devoted and learned member of our literature class and he always contributed insightful comments. He was a good friend who we will miss!

I'm keeping Dr. Caliguri's family and loved ones in my thoughts. I knew him well, as a radiologist at the U of U and HCI, when working for the Thoracic oncology team. He was always, always kind when I called for an "urgent" or early read on a chest CT, and often spent time with me on the phone, discussing what he saw, asking clinical questions about the patient and always taking time to teach me things I didn't understand. He was an amazing man, and physician and always kind.
