Raegan Rampton

Raegan Rampton Warrior Princess Raegan "put some wings on it" and moved on to a place where she can fly. She never wanted it said that she passed away after a long and valiant fight with cancer, but that is what she did. Raegan was born in California, in 1968, to Sue and Rich Rampton. She was the middle child (in her case, the eye of the hurricane) and adored by her older sister, Calli, and younger brother, Roman. She loved life and all it offered, her beautiful little boys, her family, and raising the roof-Heaven will never be the same. Raegan's beauty, vitality and loud voice will be missed by all who knew her. She ruled. She loved her many dedicated years at Nordstroms, dressing up, the glitzy side of Las Vegas, and her many loyal friends. She put herself through the University of Utah and proudly graduated. She reunited with and married her junior high school sweetheart, Clark Johnson, whom she later divorced. They had two beautiful children, Ren and Rees, who were her life force. Her strength and determination saved her son, Ren, when he was very sick with Leukemia. She would have made a mother bear proud; just ask the docs and nurses at Primary Children's Hospital who became her dear friends. Being with Raegan was like holding on to a comet. Her sparkle was contagious. Her spirit and energy filled a room. It drove out evil spirits and sometimes family members. She was known as the Warrior Princess, and lived up to that nickname. She is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Sue Rampton and Rich Rampton, sister Calli (Finn) McGhie, brother Roman (Heidi) Rampton, niece Fiona McGhie, and nephew Anders McGhie. Her death is not an end, as she lives on in her two healthy rambunctious boys, Ren (7) and Rees (3), who will be dearly loved. Her grandmothers, grandfathers, and uncle will be happy to have this vivacious, beautiful woman telling them what to do. Fly away, Princess. There will be no more tears or mourning, crying or pain. Thank you to her dear friends, Kim, hospice care, and especially Dr. Watson for his patience. A private funeral will be held for family members. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Raegan's life on Saturday, Jan. 23, 1-3:00, at 4074 S. 300 W., Salt Lake City (Spectrum office plaza just south of American Stone). A brief program will be held at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Raegan Rampton Donation Account which is set up for her two boys. That was important to her.
