Salt Lake City, Utah-Please don't cry we are enfolded in the arms of those who have been waiting for us here just over the rainbow.
Rashelle and her son Zaven were taken from this earth early Friday morning December 12, 2014 in an automobile accident.
Rashelle Anne Meguerditchian was born April 9, 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank and Kimberly Welch. She married her best friend Levon Garo Meguerditichian in Salt Lake City, Utah; they had two children, Alexis Rae and Zaven. Rashelle also had a step son, Levon Jr. They were both preceded in death by mother/grandmother, Kimberly Welch; and father-in-law/ grandfather, Krikor Meguerditichian.
Rashelle was dedicated to her husband and children. She was kind and generous to everybody she knew in her life. Rashelle always said her strength came from her husband who was her rock and she was his. She also said her heart had two halves. One half was her amazing little girl Lexy and the other half was her precious baby boy Zaven. These three completed her world.
She graduated in 2001 from Granite High School. She was loved by everyone and had such an impact on so many people, because of her positive outlook on life and her kind heart. Her last act was to give the ultimate gift of continued life by donating her organs.
Zaven Meguerditichian was born May 10, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. In his short little stay on Earth, he loved his big sissy, Lexy; and enjoyed his big brother, Lev. He was his dads little "Baben". He was sweet, kind, and loving. He loved his great grandparents, Nan and Great, soccer, preschool, playing with cousins and spending time at "Nene's".
They are both survived by husband/father Levon, daughter/sister Alexis and step son/brother Levon, Jr.; sister/Aunt Brittany Kavoukas, sister/Aunt Maddie Kavoukas, nephew/cousin Gaige Killebrew, sister/Aunt Francis Welch; grandparents/great grandparents Astrid and Russell M. Druce, mother-in-law/grandmother, Servert Meguerditchian; step father/grandfather, George Kavoukas; Zaven's aunts and uncles: Steve Meguerditchian; Nichan and Melanie Meguerditchian and children; and Hagop and Makara Meguerditchian. Because of their passing there will be many empty hearts.
A public viewing will be held Wednesday, December 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services will be held Thursday December 18, 1:00 pm with a viewing from 12:00 -12:45 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 279 South 300 West, Salt Lake City, Utah. It is so sad to see Rashelle and Zaven taken from us so early in their lives. I imagine the reunion they had with mom Kim and grandma Kathern and great-grandma Beth was joyful on the other side. Five generations that can share stories with each other. I am proud to say that I knew them all in my time here on earth. My love and best wishes go out to those left behind.

My heart breaks I was Zavens pre-school teacher for the past 2-years he wasn't just one of my students he was Zaventino/Swavie Zavy...a very special person in my life. Hello, I do not know you or your family but your story touched my heart. I also have a 4yr old little boy, whose birthday is only 1 week later than your little boy; and I felt compelled to reach out. I can only imagine what you must be experiencing at this time. No words can express this feeling of sadness. Rashelle was the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful person I have known. She was an outstanding mother and friend and she will be missed dearly.
