I will miss you Grandpa Great, I hardly saw you since I was 3 years old living in Utah, But I remember when you, Linda (Nana) and Jean (Grammy Great) came over 5 years ago when I was 5 and asked Grammy Great if you were her dad, I was so sad when my other Grandpa from my father’s side of my family told me you died, It was Memorial Day 2025, I am so grateful for you that you are not fighting Eye cancer anymore

My condolences to the rest of the Family. I lived Ed and will always cherish our time together. We went to many sporting events, baseball games, football games, jazz games. And had a friendly family rivalry with different teams. We had many family outings including fishing trips. My favorite memory on one of those we went to Strawberry Reservoir. While we were at the edge of the parking area Ed disappeared while we were not looking at him. After several minutes of us looking for him his hands appeared on a large rock pulling himself back up since he had slipped off of it to a ledge below. We were all concerned but found him to be okay. We all had a good laugh about it. Ed was kind hearted and always treated me like his son. In many ways he was a better father to me and grandparent to my kids than my own father. Rest in peace Ed until we meet again.

My favorite memory of Ed is one a barely remember. It was told to me mostly by my sister & mom. I had got an ash in my eye & refused to open my eye for weeks. My mom told me Ed & Jean came by. They played cards together. My mom told me Ed sat my in his lap & offered me a piece of gum to open my eye. And I did. He was such a good man & a part of my past Ill never forget.

Jean, Mike, Linda and Jeana, we are so sorry for your loss. As neighbors we enjoyed talking and seeing Ed when he would either be out doing something in the yard or walking the dog, he always had a smile on his face. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Ed was a huge part of my life. From day one accepted me with no judgement. Always was there for me when I needed a hand working on something or just to chat and give me advice. I am going to miss watch the Jazz and Utes games with him. Just a very kind, funny, gentle human. I will always love you "pork pounder " Until we meet again

Ed is my hero. His commitment to family went beyond love caring and responsibility ...to the relm of unreasonable sacrifice beyond personal suffering to insure his loved ones experience as much kindness ,care and ease as he could express. Enriching every soul who encountered his grace .personally I spent very little time with Ed in the big picture. However the time he graciously shared with me was heartfelt and powerful . His dedication to family and friends was dynamic and honest . He still inspires me to be a better human. His simple pearls of wisdom and life's simple pleasures.. . insures he will never be forgotten only cherished in the hearts of all who encountered the grace of his presense. You are one in a billion Ed .You will be missed and never forgotten my friend.. Till we meet again, Randy
