This is from Duane Stewart's daughter, Libby. I was able to be with my Dad when he passed away just a few weeks ago. When I heard about Uncle Reed passing, I couldn't help but think how happy the reunion is for the Stewart Clan up in Heaven. They will both be missed.

May my family be at peace and hug one another at this service

I have fond memories of uncle Reed. He had a knack of telling stories that were very entertaining. You might have thought they were made up, but uncle Reed was very adventuresome. A compilation of his stories would make a good read. My earliest memory of uncle Reed was helping him with the rectangular bails of hay. I was around 8 years old and too little to lift the bails of hay on the flatbed trailer. My job was was to drive the truck very slow up and down the rows of so my older brother Lyle and uncle Reed could throw the bails on to the trailer. I think Uncle Reed paid my brother in chicken eggs that he had to turn around and sell to make money.
Reed is now reunited with the love of his life Joanne and all his brothers and sisters that past on before him. We extend our sympathy and prayers to all of Reed's family.

My dad was a great man he was always making sure his wife and kids were taken care of he would always look for a bargain to save money as one of his children I was not real close to my dad growing up he was always working I was closer to my mom after my dad retired we got close and he would always tell me to take care of my job I would go over and help him with any thing he needed fix his car or plumbing weld something for him. I remember when we we're kids he took us deer hunting when we were very young about 5 or 6 w we would go up windmill canyon in dark and see deer on top of the meadow and pick deer he wanted and shoot it and drag it down canyon back to truck when got to truck deer had no hide the day he told me he was not going to hunt any more was hard to believe because he love hunting his hips were replaced. I learned a lot from.my day and l will miss him dearly I was able to see him two days before he died and he was in lot of pain now he is out of pain and in better place dad rest in peace and embrace your love ones. Your son CLAIR.

On the few occasions I had the pleasure to be with Uncle Reed, the one I remember best is when he introduced me to pepper on fried eggs. I had to be only 9 or 10, but wow, how Uncle Reed expanded my culinary horizons and put a little "devil" into me ;-). Having just said goodby to Dad (Duane - Reed's brother), I know they are having a great reunion, something Dad told me he was really looking forward too. I'm sure that sentiment is due to the great brothers and sisters they shared. I'm sure Reed is just as excited to see his family and is looking forward for this short earthly life to pass, so he can see you all again too. Good bless the Reed Stewart Family and thanks for sharing, even if it was for short stints, your dad with me too.
With love,
Preston Stewart

Reed and Joanne were my next door neighbors for 37 years! Good neighbors. Our children grew up together about the same time. Reed was always, always busy. He was going and doing something all the time. He often shared fresh produce with us. I remember him and Joanne bottling many bushels of fruit each summer. He was right there with her peeling and helping. Reed was a good man and I'm sure he loved his wife and children dearly. Many condolences to his children and his extended family.
