Richard Marion Robinson was born on January 2, 1940, to Marion Morris Robinson and Ethel Marie Taylor in Murray, Utah, and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 31, 2025.

Rich lived a life full of purpose, integrity, and warmth. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for people. A consummate professional and true gentleman, he built an illustrious career in banking and finance across Utah and Nevada. Beyond his professional life, Rich gave generously of his time and talents, serving on numerous civic boards-including the University Club (where he served as President), Fort Douglas Board of Directors, Ballet West, and the Nevada Ballet. Those who knew him remember his kindness, quiet humor, and steady calm, qualities that left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

Rich had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Whether skiing, golfing, boating, fishing, duck hunting, or hiking, he found joy and peace in nature. He also had a remarkable gift for creating serene and beautiful landscapes around his homes, from Las Vegas to Park City-places he loved to share with family and friends. Entertaining was one of Rich's great pleasures; he took pride in preparing delicious meals and making every guest feel welcome. His affection for animals, especially his beloved King Charles Cavalier spaniels, reflected his gentle spirit.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Rich's guiding mantra was, "Remember who you are and what you stand for." He lived those words every day, leading by example with civility, humility, kindness, and grace. His steady presence, thoughtful words, and quiet strength will be forever treasured by those who loved him.

Rich is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Robinson; his sister Beverly Stout and brother Calvin Robinson; his children Dana Robinson, Mark Robinson (Lauri), David Robinson (Monika); his stepchildren Brooke Jackson and Todd Platts; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and his loyal canine companion, Lyla.

A celebration of Rich's life will be held at Willow Creek Country Club on Sunday, November 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
