"...that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during their life...and find enjoyment for all his hard work. It is the gift of God..." Ecclesiastes 3:13.
His good intentions toward others did not go unnoticed to those whose hearts were touched by his work.

While working at KTVX-TV and KSL-TV in the mid-1990's and always on the lookout for a good news story, Sen. Bennett, when in Utah, was accessible and gracious (even on slow Sundays!), always with an interesting take and opinion about a given issue, and always with a great sound bite. He had my absolute respect, not only as an outstanding statesman, but also as a family man and genuine nice guy. I will remember him for his keen mind, sincerity and humor, as well as his care and concern representing the people of Utah here at home and in Washington.

Dear Joyce,
May we express our gratitude for the cherished influence you and Bob have had on our family. My first recollection of you and Bob was moving into Arlington Ward and helping direct a roadshow when I was a teenager. You were patient with the youth and so talented! We loved hearing you and Bob sing duets together and hearing your flute solos. It was a joy to help babysit your young children during the time Bob attended law school. One could feel the love in your home. May we express our sincere thanks for the thoughtful visits and chats you had with our parents (Byron and Mabel Dixon) through the years, especially in their later years. They loved and respected you. They delighted in Bob as a Gospel Doctrine teacher. He was a true student of the scriptures and exemplified the those gospel principles he taught. We express our sorrow in his passing but know he is about good works beyond this life. He has blessed many with his service to our country and his fireside talks. He has left a legacy of respect, honesty, knowledge, wisdom, love for his country, and testimony of Christ. May the Lord bless you during this time of separation and may you feel the love of those who have been enriched by their acquaintance with you and Bob. Love, Lillian (Dixon) Atkinson, Larry Atkinson, and Byron Paul Dixon.

I will forever remember his thoughtfulness and caring at the time my father passed away several years ago. He changed his plane flight in order to come to the viewing and express his gratitude for the help my dad gave him when learning the operation of the paint factory on 21st south. He and his dad will ever be held in the highest respect. May the Lord's peace
be with your family, He is a good man.

Bob was our lds home teacher for three years, and even though he lived most of the time in Virginia, he always made it home once per month and visited his assigned families. He was a delightful, faithful and interesting home teacher.

In 2004 Senator Bennett and I conducted a statewide campaign for his Senate seat. It was my third campaign and what a pleasure it was to have Senator Bennett as an opponent. His generosity, gentle decorum, thoughtful answers and the fact we debated 11 times was quite extraordinary. I know from my extensive experiences with him that his was one of the very best people and politicians I have ever met. I only wish more politicians could emulate him.

Never met Mr. Bennett personally, but he learned the respect of his friends, workmates, and relatives through out his lifespan.
"A good name is to be chosen rather than great wealth; To be respected is better than silver and gold." (Proverbs 22:1)...
My sincere condolences to his family for losing their beloved husband and friend. May the God of all comfort grants you of his strength and comfort to endure your grief.

For a politician he was rather quiet. Whenever there was a question his office was always helpful. We were disappointed he did not serve another term. May his spirit shine through this turbulent election.
