ROBERT CLOUSE Obituary

Robert (Bob) Elwood Clouse 1932 ~ 2011 Bob passed away May 27, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 78 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born in Chandler, Arizona to Charles Ira and Mary Cardon Clouse on June 13, 1932. He married Colene Bench on April 2, 1958 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Bob was raised in Mesa, Arizona, where he obtained his Eagle Scout, graduated from Mesa High School in 1950 and went on to attend Arizona State University. He was a faithful and devoted member holding various callings most recently serving as Stake Clerk. Bob enjoyed camping, traveling, cooking and being with his grandchildren. He will long be remembered for the special attention he gave to his yard and garden, keeping family and friends stocked with fresh vegetables and grape juice all summer long. Bob was active in the community serving as a coach and league president for youth sports. Colene, Shirley, and family - We are so sorry for your loss. Bob was a very kind man. He always had some vegetables or grapes to give us and they were the best tasting. It was neat that he wanted our kids' game schedules to attend a game or two. Time may not heal but it will help you learn to cope. Praying for God's peace in your lives. Hang on to the memories.

The world was a better place for anyone who knows Brother Clouse. I will always appreciate how he cared and shared his spirit when he would visit monthly. May your family be blessed with memories!

Bob was always so good to me. He spent numerous hours helping me with one of my merit badges and my Eagle project (and he wasn't even serving in YM or Scouts at the time!). I am so grateful for the memories I have of working alongside him and being taught by him on those occasions. What a great man! I'm sure the reunion with Brenda and his other loved ones has been sweet - but my heart goes out to the rest of you - Colleen, Shirley, David and your whole family at this difficult time. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
