Roberta Mae Paul Parker passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 2, 2016. At the age of 53. She was born on February 23, 1962 to Frank and Marian Paul. The ways that she touched our lives will remain with us always as the most important thing to Roberta was her family. This is where she drew her strength and left her legacy. Being with her family is what Roberta enjoyed most of all. She taught us that love and caring for your family is the most important thing and to let them always know how much you loved them. All that knew Roberta will never forget her welcoming, cheerful and laughing sprit. She loved to sew, cook and listen to music. For those who got to spend some time with her knew about her obsession with "Big Foot." She truly believed that he lived near her daughter, Josephine in Northern California. We will miss her many videos of his sightings that she would beg us to watch. Roberta is survived by her husband; Ralph Parker, daughters: Danielle Paul, Michelle Paul, Josephine Paul, and her son; Joseph Paul, 7 sisters, countless nieces and nephews and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Gregory Paul, 2 brother-in-law's, 2 nephews, 1 niece and her son; Leroy Paul. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and again on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.

I have so many fond memories growing up on Montgomery St with Roberta and her whole family... what a blessing it was to know such a warm kind sweet loving woman as Roberta, she always had a beautiful smile on her face, such a kind hearted woman.... but don't be fooled when she was mad ohhhh lord she scared the bajebus out of me... but still always was such a lovely person... I know the years have passed Roberta but you will always remain in my heart!!! i will hold all my memories of you in my heart till we meet again... My Auntie Boatie,
Your journey on this earth was very hard at times, the things you've gone through, the pain you felt were very difficult.
But also, you had good times, you brought some beautiful children into this world, you were a second mom to so many including me. Your laugh, you're beautiful smile and the way you made others feel when you were around you made us feel so loved , I'll always remember and I will always love you for it. It's hard to believe that I won't see you again, I rarely see any of the family but whenever I saw you, you always hugged me and told me you loved me. I felt it deep in my soul.
I know you had quite the welcome when you got to heaven and I have tried to think about that to help with the pain. I pray you will continue to mother us from up there and protect us until it is our time.

My deepest condolences at the passing of Roberta. I have so many memories of her from as far back as I can remember. So many years of being neighbors on Montgomery Street and on 24th South in the 80's. She is now reunited with Leroy and her parents and Greg. As much as you will all miss her remember she is in a good place and she would want you all to be happy and become stronger as a family. I will always smile when I think of Roberta because that is one thing I remember most about her. Her ability to smile.
