Sarah Kime Obituary

June 9, 1983 ~ October 6, 2015
Our dear Sarah had a stroke while asleep in her apartment, and died suddenly in the early hours of October 6, 2015.
Sarah was born to Robert and Barbara Kime in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, the seventh of eleven children. Her family moved to Bountiful when she was three. She graduated from Woods Cross High School and then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration from Weber State University. She moved to Seattle in 2012, and most of the time she lived there she worked for Bellevue Lasik, which was a wonderful blessing in her life. She had just recently begun a new position as manager of Duan Orthodontics. She loved the people there and was very excited to help grow that practice. She also worked part-time at Home Depot, and loved the great people she met and worked with there. She loved her family ward where she had served as Gospel Doctrine teacher and was serving as a counselor in the Relief Society.
Sarah was a joy from day one. She was a sweet, happy, beautiful, smart, athletic child. She came with a beautiful spirit, and with many talents. She can play piano, sing, cook, sew, work hard, create beauty around her, and lift others. She is kind, compassionate, and caring, friendly to all, and always wants to help and to make things better. She is a loyal, generous, devoted, loving friend. She is always trying to learn and improve. She has great courage, strength, determination, and faith. She is funny, so funny, and so much fun! Everything is more fun with Sarah. Just thinking about her smile and her laugh will fill our hearts with her gift for joy. She loves babies and kids and is so happy for her friends who are married and having babies. She adores her nieces and nephews, and dotes on her adorable niece Brooklynn, who also lives in Seattle.
When Sarah moved to Seattle she started her life over. She gave her life to Jesus Christ in a new way and He made her life a miracle. She showed us all the true power of the Atonement. She lives every day striving to be a disciple. She radiates her love for life, for people, and for her Savior. She loves to attend the Temple and went often. She has a missionary badge on her heart and loves to tell others about her Mormon faith.
Sarah is preceded in death by her older brother Matthew, who died in 2010, and by her nephew Brody (Stephen's son) who died in 1995. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Barbara Kime; by her siblings: Robert and his wife Sharon, in Atlanta, Georgia, and their six children, David (on an LDS mission in Porto Alegre, Brazil), Nathan, Abigail, Olivia, Thomas, and Sophie; Michael; Stephen and his wife Melissa, in Seattle, Washington, and their children, Brin and her baby Alaska, Dara Kate, Braxton, and Brooklynn; Richard; Mary and her son Isaac; Benjamin; Bradley and his wife Chelsea, in Charlottesville, Virginia; Rachel; and Emily and her husband Justin Ferrin.
Words cannot express the loss we feel. Sarah, we miss you. We love you. We are grateful for our time with you on this earth. Only with faith in Christ can we face our lives without you, until we are together again. For now, we love to think of you lighting up the place of peace and rest where you are.
With all our hearts, we thank each of you who loved Sarah and blessed her life with your friendship and kindness. Thank-you also for all the prayers, and expressions of love and sympathy, which hold us up and give us enormous comfort.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, at 11:00 am, at the Val Verda Stake Center, at 2600 South and 500 West in Bountiful. To Sarah's Family:

We were heartbroken to hear of Sarah's death. As her friends and ward family in Washington, we will feel the loss of her sweetness and her gentle, fun spirit.

I thought I would share with you a conversation my husband and I had about Sarah several months ago. I had worked with Sarah on a Relief Society assignment. She was helpful and kind and so very thoughtful. I was speaking to my husband about her and expressing my appreciation for her. My husband said, Well, it sounds like the ward clerk got it wrong when he wrote down her name. It isn't Sarah Kime. It must be Sarah Kind. We laughed a bit and decided the name surely fit. We then went on to speculate that if they were going to make a movie about her it would not be Sarah, Plain and Tall. It would be Sarah, Kind to All. It would have been a blockbuster for sure!

We loved your Sarah and express our deep sorrow for your loss. We are grateful to have a testimony that she is in Heavenly Father's care where we know she will do a marvelous work; nevertheless, we will miss her here.

Our sincere sympathy,
Allen & Debra Kimball

I am so sorry and deeply saddened by this news. I knew Sarah only briefly, but she had a talent of making you feel like you were her best friend from the moment you met her. She was one of those friends that we would meet in all the odd places; on a flight to Utah, in a grocery store, etc. She always had a smile and a beautiful countenance about her. She will be so missed.
