Worked along side Stephen at the Castleton Clothing store computer room/warehouse on 9th West. Watched him and his colleges build the first home made computer terminal for all the Castleton clothing stores. Stephen was very intelligent and patient person. He seemed to have all the answers.
It was my good fortune to know Stephen.

Steve´s death came as an utter surprise and has left me bruised. He was my closest friend during senior year at Olympus High. We did almost everything together. As Steve, I went into the Navy. I was aboard a destroyer and of course he was aboard a nuclear submarine. Our ships were both home ported at Pearl Harbor, however never at the same time.
Steve was much smarter than I was in school. He could tell his parents that he was studying at the library and instead meet up with one of his girlfriends and still get better grades than me. We were both kinda wild for the time and the culture. His mom did what she could to keep him in line but Steve could usually find a way around her. Except when she led a contingent of mothers in a raid of our illicit and secret party apartment. Soon after Steve was sent to live with his cousin Craig Hollenbeck in Hawaii.
I wish I would have connected with Steve after returning from Vietnam but I didn´t. Steve´s death has left a tear in the fabric of my life.
Peace and Love,
Ken Kohler.

Very sad to hear about Steve. He was one of the few guys who treated me nicely in high school. I will always be grateful.

From a long long time ago to this day, I knew Steve from our little league football program we both were involved in. He went to Olympus and I went to Skyline. He was a great athlete and though we weren't close friends we still knew each other and enjoyed that relationship. My condolences to the family.
Sincerely
Dan Roberts
