It's been almost a year since his passing and sadly I only just now have learned that Steve is gone.. I started my legal career working at DOPL with Steve. How I enjoyed not only his humor, but his intellect and skill as an investigator and manager. We had many good conversations on long drives to cases, interview, etc. How
I will miss him! I only wish I could have paid my respects at his funeral. I am proud that Steve was able to serves bishop near the end of his life. He fought the good fight and finished the course. I am so glad we were friends and colleagues. God bless.

Joan,
I had to visit the Dept. of Commerce on Monday where I learned of Steven's passing. I hoped to attend the funeral services; however I had a prior appt. I could not cancel. I worked with Steve at DOPL 1999-2001. He was a tremendous asset to me and to DOPL. Reading the obituary I note you are a Park. I have Park family who settled in Provo. John Park and family emigrated from Scotland to Canada to Nauvoo and then Utah 1847. We may be related.
I valued Steve and loved him as a Brother.

Joan,
So sorry to hear of Steve's passing, (Marie Partridge informed me.) Whenever I think of your family I think of how much I could tell you really loved each other as a couple, total loyalty is what comes to mind. I hope you will be comforted in this time of loss and mourning.

Davis Family,
You have my sincerest sympathies on the loss of your husband and father. I have many memories of him sitting out on the front porch and asking me if I had any women chasing me (I think that probably started when I was about 7 or 8). I'll remember him as one of the people who helped make the neighborhood a fun place to grow up. May Heavenly Father bless you with peace and comfort.

With deepest respect,

Jan Gardner

I am so sorry to hearing Steve has passed away. I worked with him at DOPL before he retired. What a great man he was... funny, fully of smiles. Love to hear his stories and talk of his grandchildren who he loved so much. He was full of Native American facts. He will forever be in my heart. Keep his memories close to your heart and he will stay with you and your family for generations to come. God be with you! He will truly be missed.. what a guy!!! Jan Gardner

Joan and Family,
Bob and I were saddened to hear about Steve. Your family has always had a special place in our hearts and we have many good memories of him as the boys played sports together. We feel that when Heavenly Father calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. We hope you can find comfort in knowing you were a special part of such a well-lived life. We send much "Love" from the Briskos.

Smiley and I worked in the same building for many years. He was very kind and sometimes he wouldn't smile so I started calling him Smiley. After that he made sure he always smiled at me. I have missed him since he retired and I send my prayers to all his family and friends. May God bless you all. Amber

Joan & family,
Diane and I express our heartfelt condolances to you and your family. Steve and I were best friends through High School, spent many hours running to build up endurance for football, and for a time were probably the biggest reason Pace's Dairy Ann remained in business because of our nightly visits to appease our teenage need for nourishment. We gave each other great encouragement as we prepared to serve missions. I'm thankful for my memories and pray your memories will sustain you through these hard days. Best wishes,
Rob & Diane Ellis

Delma & family,
We are so sorry to hear of Steven's passing. We think of all our memories of him as a tiny baby and as he grew up to be a fine man and our times together.
