Steven Langford Obituary

Steven John Langford 1957 ~ 2006 "When you're fishing, think of me and catch the Big One." Steven John Langford passed away January 31, 2006 in West Valley City, Utah. Steve was a unique individual. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was happiest in his paradise at the Gorge, always working on his projects. He was a lover of the simple things in life. Cooking and fishing were his passions. He left behind his loving wife, Jodi; their children, Erica (Ken) and Steven; parents, Bob and Virginia Langford, Rick and Charlotte Richter; brothers, Bob (Jan) and Rodney (Donna); sister-in-laws, Debi (Harold) Sorenson and Debbie (Andy) Lublin, and many other special family and friends. We can't forget his "Bestest Boy" Mr. Brown, "Mister, Mister". A reception will be held in Steve's honor on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W 4100 South.

Jodi, I'm so sorry that I am late in sending this. I just learned of what had happened to Steve. We used to work together at Robins Brokerage and have stayed in touch since both of us left. I now work at SYSCO and would see Steve every food show. I was completely shocked and very sad to hear of him passing away. I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was a great guy! I'm sure that he is fishing in a much bigger lake now with a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

February 5, 2006

Jodi, Buddy, Erica, Uncle Bob and Aunt Virginia, Bobby and Jan, Rodney and Donna and families,

We wish with all our heart that we could have been able to be in town for the reception. We were happy that our boys were able to attend for us. We have so many great memories of the fun things we did as cousins. We were so lucky to have been able to live close enough to see each other now and again, even sometimes at the gas station. We love Steve's smile and great sence of humor. Always wanting to talk and always about the things he loved the most, his family, the Gorge and fishing. We'll always remember how excited Steve was about his dump truck and the tractor he rebuilt in the garage at home. Our hearts are full of love and we share in your sadness at this time. May the great memories you have of Steve fill the empty moments. May his smile always make you smile and may the sad times be replaced with happy memories as time goes on. Know that we love you and we have you in our thoughts and prayers. Take care and we will see you soon. With love and sympathy, Dave and Marylu
