Theodore Jorgensen Obituary

Theodore Jorgensen "All is Well"  Theodore was born April 20, 1919 in Salt Lake City to Danish immigrant parents, Theodore P. and Hedevig H. Jorgensen. He attended Garfield, Irving Jr. High, East High, Westminster College and the University of Utah.Ted married Arley Hudson, the catch of his life, on January 19, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in the U.S. Army in the 1902nd Service Command Unit and was stationed in the European Theater and was in an artillery unit at the Battle of the Bulge. He was blessed with four children: Stephen (Cathy), Sharon (Steve), Daniel (Sue) and Suzanne. Ted worked in the floral business for many years, and after 20 years of service retired from Zion's Bank. He was a member of Sugar House Rotary, served in many church callings through his life, and enjoyed the outdoors; hiking, fishing, skiing, boating and camping. Ted was an accomplished musician and artist, enjoyed the family get togethers, his association with neighbors and their families, and happy memories of times spent together. Survived by wife, children, grandchildren, Christian, Hans, Jeremie, Jonathan, Erin, Andrew, Samuel and Jacob, also brother David (Janis), brothers-in-law Loren Hudson, (Evelyn, dec.), Alvin Mitchell (Alice, dec.), and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.  Preceded in death by parents, his daughter Suzanne, parents-in-law Daniel and Grace Hudson, brother-in-law Donald and sister-in-law Dagmar Page.  The family would like to extend their thanks to Care Source for their compassionate service. Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 28 from 5-7 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 S. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29 at Grandview 2nd Ward at 2930 S. 2000 E. Viewing will be held from 10:45 to 11:45 prior to services. Internment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.

Brother Jorgensen was a positive influence in my life as I grew up in the Grandview ward. His example of hard work, family values, and love were apparent as I visited his home and his son (my friend) Steve. I am praying for the Jorgensen family. God be with you.
