West Jordan, UT-Wayne Joseph Nielsen passed away on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2025. Wayne was born December 28, 1948 to Joseph James and Verbena Lovendahl Nielsen. He married Susan Bain on April 22, 1981. Wayne served in the United States Army and completed a tour in Viet Nam. He retired from Skyline Electric after 45 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Wayne was happiest camping and ATV riding in the mountains of Utah. He was often heard saying "Let's go make a memory!"
He is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Darren (Dottie) granddaughter, Jorie (Tyler); great grandsons, Dayson and Beckham; sisters, Linda and Shawna.
Preceded in death by parents, brother, Denis & sisters, Joan and Sharon.
Viewings and service will be held at Jenkins-Soffe, South Valley location (1007 W South Jordan Pkwy, South Jordan, UT).
Viewing will be Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 6-7:30 pm & Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 10-10:45 am followed by a short service. Burial will be at South Jordan City Memorial Park with military honors.
