Sandy, UTOur beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away on April 15, 2025, at age 76. Bill was born on July 11, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Ivory Eggett III and Jane A. Eggett. Bill loved being around family and friends, and his positive attitude and sense of humor was infectious. He will forever be missed.

Bill loved playing golf with his family at the Alpine Country Club. He enjoyed traveling and one of his favorite places was Lake Powell, especially when his brother Mike was the Houseboat Captain. He visited often with his family. Bill attended the University of Utah and was an avid "Ute" fan. He became a season ticket holder and loved tailgating with friends and family. Like his father, his career was in the food industry. As an account executive, in the food brokerage, he won numerous awards and was well known and respected.

Bill is survived by his wife Debbie Jaynes-Eggett, son Chad Eggett (Sherrie), daughter Melissa Eggett, granddaughter Samantha Eggett (Tanner), great-granddaughter Iris Orton, sisters Judy Nester and Robyn Nielson (Kurt), wife's children Kenneth Jaynes (Camille), Daniel Jaynes (Lacey), and Russell Jaynes (Lindsay), granddaughters MacKenzie Hatch (Ryan), KayLynn and Adelaide, and grandson Landen.

He is preceded in death by his father William I Eggett III, mother Jane A. Eggett, brother Mike Eggett, grandson Chance Eggett, and brother-in-law Mike Nester.

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 5, 2025, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S) in Sandy, Utah, from 2 to 3 pm. A celebration of life will occur at a later date. -
