ZETTA ANDERSON Obituary

Zetta Taylor Anderson 1930 ~ 2010 Zetta Taylor Anderson passed away December 28th, 2010. Zetta was born August 14, 1930 at Winder, Idaho to Joseph Thomas Taylor and Anna Marie Eriksen. Zetta was the 13th child of 14 children. Her mother passed away when she was two years old, so her father raised her and the other children. Zetta describes her father as being a kind man, totally devoted to his family. Zetta graduated from Preston High School in southeast Idaho. After graduating from high school, she moved to the Boise valley and graduated from the Nampa Business College. She worked for the State of Idaho in the State Auditor's office for four years. Zetta then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she met and married Donald A. Anderson on September 9th, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. During their marriage they were blessed with three children, Vicki Lynne, Donald Bruce, and LaNae. Following a divorce from Don, Zetta met Wilbur Wortham while living in Boise, Idaho. They were later married in the Idaho Falls Temple. His wife had passed away and had left him with six children. Now with a total of nine children in the home, Zetta worked very hard to meet the needs of the home and help teach gospel principles to the children. Zetta has always loved children and giving service to others. She went into the homes of the homebound and was the means of ministering to their wants and needs. She was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully. Among other things, Zetta served on a Stake Mission in the Boise Idaho Stake, as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple, secretary to the Boise Idaho Temple President and worked as a volunteer in the Logan and Salt Lake Temples. She also served in various other capacities in the church, including Relief Society, Primary and Young Women's organizations, Zetta also loved being a visiting teacher and was always ready to serve others. She will be greatly missed. Zetta is survived by her children, Vicki Lynne (Arthur) Turner, Bruce (Gloria) Anderson, LaNae Wierschke, two sisters, Ermadean Miles and Verneal (Steven) Mortensen, 13 grand children, 15 great grandchildren. I worked with Zetta at the U.S Department of Agriculture/Aerial Photography Office in Salt Lake City. I just loved her. She was such a dear friend. She loved her family and the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was a true example of Christ like love. She always treated people with kindness, even when they were not kind to her. I was so shocked by her passing. I was going to call her during the Christmas holidays and never did and now that chance is gone. I will truly miss her.

I worked with Zetta at Washington Elementary in Caldwell for a short time. You could tell she was a woman of faith and very independent.

It is very sad to see that Zetta, my father's(Sylvan) baby sister, has passed on. We pray that her passing was an easy one, without pain and suffering. She was the baby of the family and always the "princess". Although she had not lived in Boise for many years, she kept in close contact with many family members and Boise was like a second home. Zetta will join with her beloved father and her mother, who passed away when she was 2 yeears old, and it will be a joyful reunion. Our prayers are with Vicki Lynne, Bruce and LaNae and your families. Your Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother leaves a great Legacy for each of you. God bless each of you. Love, Dee & Terry
