Dorothy Kramer Ford Reiffert passed away on February 1, 2006, at Kirkwood Manor, New Braunfels. She was born March 13, 1908, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late John and Marie Kramer. She married Erwin Charles Ford in 1932, in Milwaukee and had three daughters, Meredith Ellen, Barbara Ann and Carol Jeanne. They later moved to Houston. In 1958, they moved to Panama for a year before moving to Geneva, Switzerland where Mr. Ford was an International Banker for eight years. In Geneva, she was a member of the American Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild. She traveled all around Europe. After Mr. Ford's business was completed in Switzerland, they moved to Athens, Georgia where he became a professor at the University of Georgia and she was secretary to the Episcopalian Chaplain at Hodson House for Students. When Mr. Ford passed away in 1969, she moved to Kerrville, Texas to be nearer her girls. She became a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, president of four clubs and worked in the church's Second Hand Shop. There, she married Walter Reiffert in July, 1974. Later they moved to Cuero, Texas where she was a member of Grace Episcopal Church Altar Guild, the Cuero Community Hospital Auxiliary, the DeWitt County Wild Flower Association, DeWitt Museum, and was President of the Hawthorne Literary Club. When Walter Reiffert died in December 14, 1994, she moved to Independence Hill Retirement Community in San Antonio and later to their Assisted Living facility. She was very active there serving as past President of the Residents Council and organizing the Library. She loved to travel, was an avid reader and did beautiful craft work. Survivors: Three daughters: Dr. Meredith Zabolio, retired Director of Peace Corps in Bolivia and Guatemala and her husband, Dow the Rev. Barbara Boghetich, Episcopal Missionary in Honduras; and Jeanne Manry, recent widow and world traveler. Four grandchildren: Bob Bridgman, David Robinson, Cynthia Robinson, and Chrisann Wedlich. Five great grandchildren: Stephanie Hernandez, Taylor Ford and Charles Walter Robinson; Hailey and Will Wedlich. She dearly loved her family and they will miss her greatly. Her daughters would like to thank the staff at Vitas Hospice Care in San Antonio and the staff at Kirkwood Manor in New Braunfels for all the love and care they gave her the last few months. Funeral services will be at Grace Episcopal Church, Cuero Texas on Saturday, February 4th at 2 pm, with Rev. Neil Scotty Innes officiating, Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of Freund Funeral Home. Pall bearers: Bob Bridgman, David Robinson, Wally Wedlich, Dow Zabolio, Bill Blackwell, Bucky Sager, Wayne McClanahan and Paul Lucas, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: St. Michaels & All Angels Episcopal Church, P.O.
