Hi Mom:

Ten years ago today, you departed this world to see God. Know you are thought of every day and my wish is you are enjoying heaven and are reunited with Mark, Andrea, and Dad. Plus I know for sure Gretel, who was my dog is thrilled to be with you and is with you constantly because Gretel loved you the most (which I was fine with). Thank you so much for all you provided as a mother and for your love and concern for your family and so many others whose lives you touched. Know you are thought of every day and that I miss and love you. Love you son, John

Every so often, a teacher comes along that you will remember 10, 20, even 30 years later. Mrs. Noone was that teacher for me. During this year's National Teacher's Day, I came across an article that asked, "Who was your favorite teacher?" That has always been so easy for me. It was Mrs. Noone at St. Gerard's. This year, I decided to search for Mrs. Noone, and I am saddened to learn of her passing. She had such an impact on my life that I still remember her 35+ years later. I am just one tiny ripple in a series of people's lives she touched. I hope to see you when I leave this world, Mrs. Noone.

Thinking of you

Memory: I am sitting with you in your little room off your master bed room. The little room you called the sewing room. It is in the Summer on Infantry Post about 1975. We had just attended an outdoor Army concert. The sun is setting and the light is steaming in through the window. I said to you "this is the happiest day of my life". You seemed surprised by what I had said, but said "I am happy you feel that way" and gave me a hug. What I was telling you that day was that you taught me, that it's not the big, important days of ones life that are important, it's the simple ones. To appreciate the very simple everyday things in life. That is a wonderful lesson to learn and one I plan on passing on to your granddaughter, Giuliana. I am so grateful I had such a loving and giving person to teach it to me.
I carry you in my heart....always.
Love,
Vicki, Michael, Giuliana and Tino
