Anastacia Ortiz Obituary
Anastacia Trevino Ortiz, born April 16, 1918, was reunited in eternal life with her husband and daughters on March 7, 2013, at the blessed age of 94. Anastacia was beloved by her family
and all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel B. Ortiz and daughters Margarita and Dolores Ortiz. She is survived by her daughters Margie Yanez, Santa Burns, Josie Lopez (Edd), Theresa O. Kist, Yolanda Salas (Arturo), Oralia Rodriguez, son Manuel Ortiz, siblings Augustine C. Trevino, Richard Trevino, Guadalupe T. Suarez and Aurora T. Rodriguez as well as 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was a loving, caring and nurturing wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She will be greatly missed and will be remembered always. Visitation will begin Monday, March 11, 2013 at 2pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 9am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.

During the early 60's my family (Dominguez Family) lived next door to the Ortiz family on San Carlos St. I was around 5yrs old when we first moved in. Ms Ortiz's daughter Yolanda became my Godmother for my first holy communion. I remember the Ortiz family, Mr & Mrs Ortiz, Manuel Jr, Yolanda, Orie, Santa & her daughters - Roxanne & June. Yolie and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I always felt close to her because we shared our birthdays. Also, she was family. Her and my mom were very special people in our families. Please tell your sisters and brother that my prayers are with all of you.
