Andrea always had a smile on her face, she had the most beautiful blue eyes that just got your attention when ever she walked into a room. Her personality was very magnetic. I had the pleasure of working with her at Intercon Bank in San Antonio, Texas. We became friends very quickly and chatted about life when we had a chance, I will never forget her. I know you are in good place, your personality and attractive energy said it all ! Hope to run into you when the Good Lord calls me back home. Your friend , Anthony Gerard Alvarado

I had the honor of working with Andrea at Intercontinental Bank in San Antonio, Texas. She was such a people's person. Very friendly and always willing to help you out in any situation. We had a lot of good conversations about life in general and always had something of interest to talk about. I will always remember her beautiful blue eyes ( although they looked a little silver sometimes) she always had such a positive outlook. I know she is in a good place right now, her energy and friendliness always captured my attention as a dear friend. Rest in peace my dear friend and may you always be in GODS holy light ! It was a pleasure meeting you here on earth, maybe someday when the Good Lord calls me home I will bump into you ! Love, Anthony G. Alvarado

Andrea and I had a lot of phone conversations, she always said it felt like talking to her mother Agnes (as her mother was my sister).
Andrea was always interested in what we did, and talked about as sisters!
I miss Andrea very much and I will cherish the phone conversations forever.
I love you Andrea-God Bless you and keep you safe.
Much Love, Aunt Jose

I only experienced Andrea in person a few times as an adult. Mostly, she and I exchanged many email messages and I enjoyed her strength and resolve. In the last few personal visits she was as always pleasant and smiling but quiet; which I‘m discovering was not her common poise with those who frequently enjoyed her presence. It is easy, for me, to recall the image of her twinkling eyes and pleasant smile and I miss her. God Bless and Keep You, Andrea.

My knowledge of Andrea was through her attendance at the Texas Pro Sedan racing series events for many years. She was always with Sergio and most helpful to everyone in our series. Fortunately or unfortunately, I did not know of Andrea's fight with cancer, but having had a form of cancer, I can appreciate the difficult times she endured and how she must have fought back.
We will all miss Andrea and our hearts and thoughts are with Sergio and Andrea's family and friends.
We appreciate the work of Erik Fedor to allow this Guest Book to remain online for an extended period.

I'll always remember the fun times Andrea and I had growing up in Houston. Our homes were not that far from each other and we spent a lot of time playing together. And,we were both blessed with mothers who loved to cook and bake. This was a great thing for a couple of kids who throughly enjoyed kolaches, and all sorts of other Slovakian delicacies. As we got older, we grew apart, but still tried to stay in touch. When she and Sergio moved to San Antonio it became easier to see each other. My only regret is that we didn't see and talk with each other more.
Andrea was always a wonderful, caring person. She had a great sense of humor and always made me smile. Andrea, I'll miss you.

The memory of Andrea that stands out most in my mind is when she and her family came to visit my parent's farm in Niederwald. All the cousins had so much fun being together. On this particular summer, Andrea came and stayed a week with us. We rode horses and had a great time, until I fell off the horse that Andrea and I were riding together. I accidentally pulled her off with me, and Andrea ended up with a broken arm. Eventually she and I were able to look back on that time and laugh about it, and she forgave me for basically breaking her arm. Andrea was always able to get past the hard part of a situation and think of the best parts of it. I also have very fond memories of going to her house and going for a ride in her Chevelle, just riding around and enjoying each other's company. My wife Kathy and I miss her very much.

As the Holidays are coming near the family will be missing Andrea's love of celebration and especially the unique skill of getting just the 'right' amount of burn to the Kolache recipe handed down from her mother that only she managed to pull off so well.

I was terribly saddened to hear of Andrea's passing. She and I became friends through Annette. When I moved out of my house on Willowbend in Houston, she and Sergio moved in and rented it for a long time. They had two beautiful dobermans - there was a hugh shaded yard where they ran around and around until they were exhausted. I never saw Andrea without a smile - she had such a great sense of humor. She and Sergio had that magic gift some partners have of being best friends. I will miss her stories and her laugh. I know Sergio, Annette and everyone who knew her, will be at a loss for her passing.

Erik & Katie - Thank you very much for creating this beautiful website in honor of Andrea. She would be very proud of you both. We were very sad to hear the news about Andrea. Know that we are praying for you, Annette, Angela, Sergio & family. My family lived across the street from Andrea and her family on Ebbtide. I was in 5th grade when we moved there. We had lots of fun growing up together, becoming sisters and getting into trouble like sisters. I remember sometime after we moved on Ebbtide, Andrea, Debbie, my sister & I decided to run away. We called a yellow cab to pick us up and he drove us to my aunt's house were we hid until we decided to go to her house. We all got home in one piece and can't remember getting in trouble for it. I think our parents were glad to have us home. One night my parents went out and Andrea, Debbie & I decided to take my mom's car for a drive. We drove the car to a strip where cars use to go and drove the heck out of it. We had fun but when we got home the fun ended. My parents were home to our surprise. We thought we'd gotten away with it. It didn't help that my brother told on us, and of course we got into trouble for it. I'm sure we got grounded as well. That was just the beginning of our many fun times together. Angela, Andrea, Debbie, John, my brother & I all worked at El Chico's @ NW Mall, and had fun earning money and working our lst real job. Andrea was a waitress. She was the lst one in our group to get a car. It was a white Malibu car and we thought it was so cool. One weekend, Andrea, Angela, Debbie and I drove to her uncle and aunt's house in Austin and spent the night. The following morning we drove to our lst concert in Austin w/o parents. It was another great time. In school everyone knew Andrea as the purple girl. She went thru a phase where purple was her favorite color. She'd wear something with purple i.e. a dress or a scarf for her hair but it had to have purple. She even colored her room purple and had florescent pictures. How creative is that. We did the girl thing by spending the night @ each other's house, shared boyfriend's stories and did things sisters did. We were not happy when our parents grounded us from seeing each other. When she introduced us to Sergio, I remember thinking that he was cute, tall and husky looking and she was cute and petite. They made a handsome couple together. I was very happy for them both. We lost track of each other as time went on then in the summer 2009, I started thinking about her and our times on Ebbitde. That summer I called her phone number which was out of service. For the heck of it, I went on the intranet and searched and searched for Sergio & Andrea and to my surprise I found a name of Sergio & Andrea Hexsel in a city near San Antonio. I wasn't sure if it was them since I thought they still lived in Houston. Anyway, I wrote a letter and in the letter I said if she was the Andrea Fedor who lived on Ebbtide to please email me and I gave her my email address. To my surprise I received an email saying that yes she was the Andrea from Ebbtide. That was Sept. 28, 2009. I remember that date because I still have her lst email to me. I was very excited that I found them. She wanted me to share with her how I found them and we got catch up with our lives. I told her that my husband and I wanted to see them one day, but that day never came. It breaks my heart that we never got to visit again. I thank God for bringing us together and sharing all that we did as a family. I pray that her beautiful memories will give us strength and hope that one day we will meet again. I attached a picture with Angela, me, Debbie, Andrea, and my cousins. We were celebrating my 15th birthday @ my grandparents house. You may not be able to tell, but Andrea's outfit is purple with a purple scarf. Andrea was beautiful then and she was in life. I will always remember her smile, her laugh, kind heart and love. When we wear purple let it remind us of Andrea.

I have tried to write something a dozen times, it's so painful. I met Andrea through banking back in 1981. We became immediate friends and we went through enough trials and tribulations to write a book. Andrea, Sergio, their families took me in and I have spent 32 years blessed by knowing each and every one of them. I already miss you terribly Andrea, but I will move forward in your honor. Love Always, my BFF

I'll always remember Andrea! Loving, kind, funny and personable. I got to know her at SANB. Being from Refugio and in total shock of our bank being bought out, Andrea made me feel so welcome. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and knew her job so well! We would always go out to lunch when I was is SA and I enjoyed her company so much. We stayed in touch via e-mail when we both left SANB. My deepest sympathy to her husband and family. She is gone but certainly not forgotten.....

I am heartbroken to hear of Andrea's death. We were neighbors and good friends for a number of years. She helped me through the death of my son with her wit, wisdom, and positive outlook on life. I will miss her terribly. Sergio, you are in our thoughts and prayers. I can't even imagine the pain you are going through right now, but if you need anything, I hope you will call on us. There is a ray of sunshine missing on this earth now, but she is watching and shining down on all of us that loved her and are left here to honor her memory.

Although I knew you for a short period of my life at Intercon Bank in San Antonio, Texas I can honestly say that you were a very sweet person. I enjoyed sharing our thoughts and feelings about life. I remember mentioning to you that my mother was ill and that I was very afraid of losing her, you comforted me by saying "we are only passing through this life here on earth, the mission continues after we pass. She mentioned that it took 2 years to get over her mother's death and she was now caring for her father. This was about 5 years ago. My mother passed Aug. 26,2012 and I remembered what Andrea told me"keep going Anthony your mom will be waiting for you in heaven when God calls you back home. May you rest in peace and rejoice with the angels in heaven Andrea! You were one sweet lady and friend.I will always cherish our interesting conversations and good laughs! I was so sad to hear of Andrea's passing. I worked with her at McMullen Bank and she was always so nice to me. I remember how calm she would remain in times of stress at the bank and how patient she was with her customers. It was because of her I became a bank branch manager and I will always be grateful. I miss her politically-charged emails, because we shared the same views. My sincere condolences to her family and God rest her good soul.
