SARABIA
Augustine (Augie) Sarabia, Jr., born October 23, 1934 passed away on June 6, 2009, preceded in death by his devoted wife of 50 years, Ana Marie Sarabia and his son, Augie Sarabia III He is survived by his loving daughters, Marianne Sarabia, Yvonne ( Norman) Garcia, Suzanne Ash (Wayne), and Dianne (John) Carrera. Grandchildren: Josh, Chantal, Gabriel, Caitlin, Christian, Alyssa, Cheyenne, Camille and Anne. Great-grandson: Ethan. Augie was an extremely generous, fun-loving, fabulous dancer, who was the life of the party. Augie was a rock to many who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
Services
Visitation will begin Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 11, 2009 at The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower at 9:30 AM with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. My deepest condolences. I just found out of his passing yesterday. My shock when someone come up to me and asked why I wasn't at the funeral. I thought they were lying to me. But it wasn't. My love of your dad was great. He was the only one who remembered my birthday two years ago. He called and said get dressed I'm taking you to dinner and dancing. I had the most memorable evening. All because of his loving, caring, sharing ways. I will greatly miss him. My heart goes out to the family.

I first met Augie when I was assigned as a new Airman to Kelly AFB. He was my first supervisor, but more importantly, treated my wife, child, and me as a part of the extended Sarabia family. I have wonderful memories of my time in San Antonio with the Sarabia family. What warm, caring people. Although that was a long time ago, I've always kept the Sarabia family in my heart. My deepest sympathy to Marianne, Yvonne, Suzie, and Dee Dee. I will miss him too!

Augie, H & I will forever miss you, we had so many good times,Houston (when you missed your flight to Chicago)in San Antonio, some dance and just recently in Eagle Pass.y.were just yourself fun loving, carefree.So glad I took pictures and you are in the videow/Tia Estella. I wish I could take back my joke about calling you "grandpa" You did remind me of my dad. It was all in jest Augie. I happen to know that you were a wonderful and devoted grandpa and wonderful father to your daughters. You were a wonderful brother to Ollie and Bedi, Raul & Andrew. My condol. to M, Y, S, D.
