Baldemar Jimenez Obituary
Mr. Baldemar 'Baldo' A. Jimenez, born October 5, 1937 to the late Louis Jimenez and Josephina Arellano, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2003 at the age of 65. Mr. Jimenez graduated from Sydney Lanier High School in 1955 and continued his education at the University of Texas in Austin, graduating in January of 1960. He passed the Bar Exam in December of 1962 and attended St. Mary's University obtaining a Bachelors Degree of Law in May of 1963 and a Degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1967. Mr. Jimenez served as Legal Counsel for Alamo Title Company for numerous years. He served as Chief Prosecutor for the City of San Antonio, moving on to the Trial Section serving as a Trial Attorney. He retired after 30 years of faithful service to the City of San Antonio. As hobbies during his free time, he sponsored and managed various local softball teams and a softball team also known as JP Hustlers. Mr. Jimenez was the founder and president of Olympia Social Club with an annual New Years Dance where all his family and friends would gather to bring in the new year. Visitation will be 5:00 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Roy Akers. Visitation will resume 9:00 A.M., Thursday, June 12, 2003 with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary at Roy Akers Chapel of Prayer. Funeral Procession will depart 9:30 A.M., Friday, June 13, 2003 from Roy Akers for a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2114 W. Houston St. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alejandro 'Alex' A. Jimenez. Survivors include his brother and sister, Marina Jimenez and husband Stanley, their two sons, Ronald Rangel and wife Desiree and their daughter, Dymond and Michael Rangel and fianc 5/8e Claudia Ramirez; Carlos Jimenez and wife Carolina and their son, Carlin Jimenez; very close friend, Fred Ramos and numerous friends.
