Barbara Cubbison Obituary
December 4, 1931 - June 15, 2024
Longtime educator and San Antonio resident Barbara Glascock Cubbison passed away at home with family, Saturday, June 15, 2024, age 92. After growing up in a military family at bases around the country during World War II, she graduated from Trinity University. As a high school English teacher over thirty years, she educated generations of San Antonians at Brackenridge High School and later at Holmes High School---often running into them in the community----retiring in 1992. In retirement, Barbara's passions were raising champion Yorkshire terriers, traveling, retired teacher events, Red Hat Club, and enjoying her grandkids.
She is survived by devoted husband and caregiver, Kenneth Cubbison; daughter, Cindy Fox; grandson, Trent Seale; granddaughter, Dr. Stephanie Seale and husband Daniel Guerrero; son-in-law, Greg Seale; Kenneth's children, Julia Harris, Cameron Cubbison, Victoria Rutledge, and Shauna Meyer. Barbara was preceded in death by parents, retired Capt. (USAF) Harry Glascock and Virgie Glascock; and many lifelong friends from childhood, Trinity University, and teaching, with whom she is now reunited.
